Conflict

Louve pov He moved closer, making me freeze. His fingers twitched as if he needed to touch me. One part of my body was asking for his touch while the other was asking me to run for my dear life, “I will really bite your hand off” he smiled. I know he heard my thought, making me tilt my head. I kept praying silently for Marisa to come back to the pack house as soon. His eyes stare daggers into my skin. “What” I asked in a shaky voice. “I never thought I would ever find you. And that all mine too,” he rumbled. Wait, why is he rumbling? Suddenly I became less frightened, rose to my feet, laughter falling from my lips. “Listen, I know now that you are the Alpha king you can’t just go around claiming people are yours. I’m not yours” He didn’t seem to be angry at my reaction. It seemed his claim had awakened something in me. “Louve, you are mine” he said and a dark chuckle followed. “I said I’m not yours!” anger flowed through me. “I can see you are scared of me from your reaction. You can call me Bardulf when we are together.” “Who said I’m scared of you, I’m not scared.” I lied through my teeth “It’s a good thing that you are not scared of me” he said, rising to his feet and facing me. I shrunk back holding the arm rest. He inched closer and gently brushed his fingers over my face. I shivered under his touch, and I hated how good it felt. His fingers moved to my neck, his finger gently caressed my neck. “See you around” “You won’t see me again” I hissed, slapping his hand away. “You must be really dumb that you were dumped by your boyfriend. Did I need to remind you that you are my sister’s roommate? There’s no place you can hide in Alaska that I won’t find you. Even if I didn’t come to find you, you will come find me” “Never,” I hissed. “Never? You are mine and I’m not going to allow you to escape, not after I’ve found you.” My words got stuck at the back of my throat as he pressed his lips on my lips. He wrapped his arms around me, and kissed my forehead. His other hand went under my legs; I gasped quickly, locking my arms around his neck and my eyes opened wide at his audacity before I knew what was happening, he disappeared. He was gone. I was scared out of my wits. This was the first time I was witnessing a werewolf disappear, right under my nose. With a heavy sigh, I leaned back into the chair. My mind was in turmoil. I should have listened to my mom. I don’t know how many minutes or hours have passed. “Babe, are you okay?” She asked, inching closer and checking my body to see if I was hurt. I stiffly nodded, trying to shake the uneasiness that crawled under my skin which told me someone was watching me. “Are you sure you are okay? My brother said you seemed scared”, she teased, knowing I’m just trying to pull myself together. “Marisa, I’m fine. Let’s head back to school.” “Can we stay a little longer? It’s been a week since I last saw mom.” I know my bestie enough to believe she really wanted to see her mother. I noticed something was off the moment those guys followed the Alpha king in. I was all left alone in that big and long living room. I wondered where the whole pack had disappeared. The picture I had in my mind for a pack house was a building full of werewolves. I sat back in the furthest corner and curled my legs close to my body, thinking about everything that had happened within these last two days. His words resonate in my head each passing moment. “You can’t escape, you are my mate.” I never took my time to learn anything about werewolves. I don’t even listen to gossip about them since my mom forbade me from doing so and my friend didn’t like the fact she was a wolf. It’s quite funny to me that their goddess had to choose who to marry. Sitting down there, all these concepts seemed ridiculous to me. I don’t want my soul mate to be a man who will be running around naked in the wood or shifted into a beast of a wolf. What should I do?
