Two days later, Marisa invited Louve to the pack house.
“Here, have some watermelon”, Miranda said, while handling a plate of watermelon to her.
Louve was a little uneasy. She had never been to anyone's house before and that a wolf pack. She was not in the mood to eat at all. She trusted her friend, but she still had her doubts.
At that moment, sounds of footsteps could be heard from outside.
Unconsciously, Louve turned. She wanted to see who the people were.
However, what she saw was the last thing she wanted to see, three handsome men who had the last three buttons of their shirts opened, the one at the left was nightmarishly handsome and the other one at the right hand was no less either, and for the one at the middle was the last person she expected to see at the pack house, she almost asked the ground to open and swallow her up.
The guy she slept with the other night who had called her his mate.
“What the heck is he doing here” she thought. “Oh, who am I kidding, he’s a werewolf and this is a pack house”, she thought again.
With this thought in her mind, her jaw dropped to the ground.
Seeing the men, Marisa’s appearance was no different from Louve's. She stood up and immediately dropped the plate full of watermelon, looking a little uneasy.
She bowed and said in a sweet and innocent voice “Brother, you are here, hmmm I thought you would be at the office doing some work. See, I even brought my good friend.”
The two men by his side stepped aside “we will be outside”. They chorused and he answered with a ‘hum.’
“He’s the Alpha and Marisa's brother, the person she was mated to was her friend's brother.”
Louve heart sank.
“I hope I won’t be eaten here today”. Louve’s mind was filled up with a lot of funny thoughts.
The man glanced at her and sat down on the sofa with his legs crossed over another. Louve unconsciously moved to the edge of the sofa and faced the door. Because the man sitting beside her was emitting cold air and his features exuded nothing but hostility.
“Is this really your friend?” the man asked coldly.
“Yes brother, she’s been my very good friend since year one, Louve; Louve. Meet my brother Bardulf, the Alpha of the blueblood pack. Bro meet my friend Louve. She’s human,” Marisa said nervously.
“Must this girl make all this introduction seem she’s trying to get me killed” she thought as she looked at the man with a fake smile and said in a shaky voice, “Hi, good morni.., good afternoon…”
The man looked at her without answering her greetings.
Louve's mind was woozy and she felt a little dizzy. She pretended to be calm on the surface, but her mind was in chaos.
“I was drunk that day and so was he. He probably didn’t remember my face. I bet he must have mistaken me for being his mate. Why am I being tense” Louve thought as she calmed her body, spirit and soul down with the hope that the man would not have remembered her.
Even with her relaxed mind, she still stuck herself in a corner not to make her presence know to the man so she didn’t dare to say another word.
“Brother, Louve is a huge fan of yours, she has always wanted to see the great Alpha king of Alaska” Marisa said, trying to ease the stuffy atmosphere; Meanwhile Louve looked at Marisa in shock. “Huge fan? this stupid girl really wants to get her killed today by spouting such rubbish she has never for once liked the Alpha king who never shows his face in public” she never liked him so how is she his biggest fan?
The man’s cold features remained unchanged and his whole being exuded a hint of hostility.
The atmosphere in the living room was getting tense, Louve got chilled and her heart started thumping wildly.
“Brother, aren’t you supposed to be at the office now” Marisa frowned. “why did he not leave? What else did he want? He must have wanted to make my life miserable like his life. Mom, please come and save me,” she thought.
Bardulf looked at her with daggers in his eyes. “You seem to have a problem with me sitting in the pack house? Don’t worry, nobody will call me”
Marisa’s mouth twitched slightly.
You seem to have forgotten I can link my mind with any wolf.
“No brother, I don’t mean it that way. I’m saying why are you home?”
“Any problem with that” the man asked.
“No, no single problem, you are the Alpha of the blueblood pack, you control the whole Alaska, so you can decide for yourself, hahaah”
“Are you done?”
“Yes”
“Have you found your mate yet?”
Marisa’s hand dropped at that instant.
She did indeed find her mate, but how would he tell him who her mate was?
“Yes I have”
“Where is he and can you shift yet?”
“I just remembered the reason why I came to the pack house was to pack something” she answered, and as soon as she finished speaking she quickly ran towards her room.
Louva also tried her best to make herself invisible by sticking to the corner of the sofa while keeping silent.
“Marisa”, a cold voice called.
Marisa, who had her feet on the stairs, froze for a moment before turning around carefully with a stiff smile.
“Isn’t today your training day?”
“Hmm, yes” Marisa stuttered.
“Then why are you at the packhouse instead of being on the training ground?” Although Bardulf said it in a calm voice, what Marisa heard in her mind was “is today your death day?”
She quickly rushed down the stairs,
“Oh, yes, just as I have said before, I’m here because Louve wanted to see the pack house since she is your biggest fan and to also pick up something for my training. Remember I said it before I set up to climb the stairs” After finishing her sentence, which sounded like a report and excuse mixed together with a hint of justification. She knelt beside Louve. “I’m so sorry, I have to go for training, you will have to stay at the Pack house till I return, and for my brother…” Marisa. trailed off and looked at Bardulf before continuing her sentence. “You will have to endure him just till I come back in the evening, the training ground is actually not far from here I will soon be back home take care”
“Marisa, you don’t have to worry too much about me. I can put up a little with his cold attitude that is freezing me to death. I can do it”
Marisa nodded and quickly made her way to the door.
There was a dead silence in the living room. Louve had hoped that someone would jump in to save her from the man whose eyes bore daggers into her skin. Suddenly, the man moved and her mind went blank. She froze in panic as she stuck her body tightly to the cushion armrest.
“Why is he moving closer to me? Does he remember me?” she had a lot of thoughts in her head. All she wanted at that moment was to escape from the dangerous situation she had put herself in.
Perhaps she was just nervous and maybe the man just wanted to sit on a bigger chair and was not approaching her because he remembered her.
