Smiling, I didn’t look away from the game I was playing on my phone. I moved my fingers through her hair, alternating stroking her hair with the gentle pressure of my nails on her scalp until she pulled the book down. Sitting it on her stomach, she reached up. Pulling my phone from my hands and sitting it onto the coffee table.
