Chapter Forty-Five
I shifted around in my seat, looking over my shoulder to see what had caught his interest.
Kera walked into the dining hall, smoothing her hands over her full, swaying hips. I didn’t know what she was doing here.
After our morning, I’d taken her back home and left her with her pride. The lion shifter that I’d gotten into a fistfight with had been waiting at the door. I could smell that it was her brother and I felt a pang of guilt. He must have been worried about her. I tilted my head to the side, showing him my respect. He let out a rumbling sound before taking her inside.
I had told her that this was a one-time thing. There were no plans and it had just been to scratch an itch and take my mind off of everything that was going on.
Yet here she was in a dark red
