I'm at the Eastern border with Cassian and three other warriors, checking the patrol routes when Jared approaches. He's one of the younger guards, and he looks nervous.
"Alpha, I need to report something."
"What is it?"
"Luna Aria went to the supply warehouse. Alone. About twenty minutes ago."
My blood runs cold. "What do you mean alone?"
"She didn't take any guards with her. Just walked there by herself."
I turn to Cassian. "Finish the inspection here. I need to go."
"Kael, wait," Cassian says. "She's probably fine. The warehouse is on pack territory."
"We had an agreement. After the poisoning, she promised to follow security protocols. That includes having guards with her."
