Men, and women came out with food and placed it on the table. Ethan was the first to get some food. He then placed some lasagna on my plate, garlic bread, and asparagus. He then gestured for Kaleb’s plate and I handed it to him. Ethan placed some Lasagna and garlic bread on Kaleb’s plate.
“Mr. Ethan, may I have some asparagus?” Kaleb asked making every single person stop talking and look at him. Kaleb whimpers and shrinks back bowing his head. I reached for him and pulled him to my lap. Next thing I know, Ethan growls, making everyone bow their heads.
“Kaleb, come here son” Ethan said. Kaleb squirm and I let him down. He walked towards Ethan who picked him up and placed him on his lap.
“Son, do you know why they stopped talking and looked at you?” Ethan asked.
