It took 12 hours to go back, but I’m here now. The first thing I did as soon as my flight arrived in Italy was go straight home to my kids.
The moment I stepped into my house, small footsteps came running toward me as if they knew I was coming already.

Before I can even take a full breath, two little bodies crash into my legs.
"Mommy!"
I kneeled down, wrapping them both in a tight hug. My heart clenched. I've missed them so much. The warmth of their little arms around me is the only thing keeping me together right now.
I still can't get rid of what Rich told me last night. If my kids are already starting to form their abilities, then I must observe them closely.
They could be in danger for all I know.
