I nibbled on one of the biscuits that Archer brought me. Moving the diary away from me just enough to make sure I didn't dropped any crumbs between the pages. I was only one page in so far, but already I was fully invested.
I turned the page and admired a colorful feather that was tucked away inside. I wasn't sure what bird it had come from, but from the coloring I would have loved to have seen it. Placing it carefully back inside the page I continued reading.
I began to feel for Reds mother. It seemed she had been sent away and just left. I read page after page of how she was left to fend for herself. Pregnant and alone, she hunted for food.
