I wake up in a strange room. I’m not at home, so where…Christian’s? Right. That’s where I went yesterday…was it yesterday?
I rise and look around. No. This is not Christian’s.
I groan and shut my eyes, begging my mind to get to work. Where the f**k am I?
Ah!
My eyes fly open. The shapeshifter’s place. For a moment there, I totally forgot about Christian and me leaving his pack to waylay the Alpha King and take Sara away.
Rubbing my eyes, I get out of bed and walk towards the door. I don’t remember going to bed last night. But I do remember drinking too much beer, so that explains it.
I open the door and step into the hallway. The door is at the top of the stairs, and I take one step towards them before halting.

The cabin didn’t have any upper rooms.
