Dakota’s POV My head felt heavy, and my eyes didn’t want to open. I could feel that the shoulder area of my shirt was wet and I wondered if I had drooled on myself while I slept. I could feel something soft underneath me, like a mattress, but I was sat up. Did I fall asleep studying last night? As I tried to raise my hand to wipe my eyes that felt dry under my eyelids, my movement was halted by a tight pain in my wrist. Prying my eyes open, I glanced around me, fear building in my veins as I took in the unfamiliar room I was in. The walls were dirty and the sparse furniture was more office like than a bedroom.
