Every beat of my heart seemed to grow louder with each second that passed. The feel of Ace next to me had all of my senses on overdrive as my ears picked up every sound that seemed to escape him. This had to be torture. Pure torture.
It wasn’t just him being so close. It was also the memories of what Ace and I did in that truck as well. Images of Ace’s mouth fused to my core kept playing through my mind as I tried to think of anything but that. How could I though? After everything I’ve learned and realizing it had been Ace this entire time, it ignited something inside of me. No, it was more like it broke something inside of me. Whatever doubt and hesitation I seemed to have snapped completely in half, letting all those feelings I’ve been trying to push down come rushing forward.
