Finn’s knuckles were white as he gripped the steering wheel. Today had turned into much more of an emotionally taxing day than he was prepared for. He glanced down at the watch on his wrist and tried to calm himself.
When he pulled into the driveway of their house, Haisley and Elliot immediately started getting out of the car. “You guys coming?” Elliot asked.
“Give us a second,” Kai said, waving him away. Elliot just shrugged and closed his door. Kai waited for them to ascend the porch steps before he said anything.
