Haisley chewed on her nails while looking down at the bills on the counter in front of her. She was trying to figure out the best way to piece everything together this month and get these paid.  “Ow,” she started. She looked down at her now bleeding nailbed. “I’ve got to stop that,” she muttered as she moved to the kitchen sink to rinse the blood off. She grabbed a paper towel and squeezed it over the tip of her finger with a sigh.  Haisley wished more than anything her grandmother would call her back. She hadn’t spoken with her since the funeral.
