The battle went on for days. Laura couldn’t remember if it has been four or five days already. There were quiet hours. There were chaotic times. It kept her from having a good rest. Her dreams would be filled with the unpleasant sound of clanging. They could only endure the feeling of discomfort. Compared to those in the front line, they were fairly safe and out of danger.
