All of Kai’s movements come to a screaming halt, his lips leave her neck and he stands up tall and looks directly into Ember’s eyes. His breath quickens as he studies her. She looks in his eyes, there is so much desire there but it is unclouded and she looks so sure. Kai feels like he is going to choke on the words. He is scared to pry further because he doesn't want to break that misunderstanding if that is what this is, he is too impatient to live in a lie forever. He needs to know. The words sit heavily in his throat, so his voice comes out hoarse to the extreme.
"As in you want me or..."
