Chapter 24

526 Words
Cassandra's POV ''I told you we need to talk to her now!'' my brother said as he was pacing back and forth inside the room. He wanted to barge into Aubrey's Condo and tell her everything. My brother was always the impatient type. I told him she needed space and that she will talk to us when she is ready. What she experienced was far from normal and she needed time for herself. ''Just calm down will you?'' I told him. He finally stopped walking around the condo and sat on the sofa. ''She is not even here at the building. it means she is not ready to talk to us yet. We need to give her space brother.'' I explained. I know he understands but I bet he just cannot wait to really introduce himself to Aubrey without secrets. This human is my brothers love partner. We vampires live longer yet our hearts could only beat for one-- well not really beat, because we do not really have a beating heart to begin with. But the point is that, we can only love one person for eternity or at least until we die. My brother just fell so deep for her. iut just saddens me that he ends up loving a human. loving someone that is so fragile and will die and grow old... that is depressing. But then, if we talk about our parents, they do not object in whoever we love. They have given us free reigns in love as long as we do our duty to our kingdom--Sol. I have not fallen in love yet. I just consider those as a weakness. Being royalty means we have more enemies than friends, more wars to win and like now, my brother is vulnerbale. The rogue vampires found out that his love interest is a human. He has kept that secret for so long and now that is discovered... what will you do now, brother? ''I know that. I just can't help it. Do you think she remembers me now?'' He asked as he moved his hair covering his face. He looked frustrated. ''I do not know. Erasing her memories before was a pretty bad move. The elders told us that it cannot be undone once you do it, but you did it anyway.'' I told him. We have known her eversince. ''It was to protect her. What she doesn't know won't hurt her,'' he reasoned. ''Yeah and look what happened now,'' I retorted. He gave me a stern look. I rolled my eyes and went to the kitchen. I opened the ref and grabbed a pack of blood. Yes, I have stocks. We do not kill people actually, this came from our donors. We own a hospital in the mundane world and we get blood donations. But of course, no one knows that we have some of them. Although, my brother refuses human blood. But human blood keeps us strong. He sticks to Animal blood but once in a while, he feeds on human blood when he could no longer controll the urge or the animal blood is no longer working for him.
