Carl's POV
I quickly mindlinked Mom to stay with Leah so I could talk to Maryah. It was a little hard with Leah still holding my hand tight, but I was able to switch places with Mom. I practically ran to the room Maryah was in.
She is still conscious yet so pale and low. But it clearly shows that hurting Leah was their main priority. These are so dead in my hands the day I find them.!
"How are you doing?" I asked her as soon as I walked in.
"Better, King!" She said as she bowed a little.
"Looks like you lost your wolf too" I whispered.
"Aware. And I'll get it soon since I'm not the one badly injured. Your mate is incredible Carl! She is the reason we safely escaped. She and her wolf just went beyond. Leah will be a great Queen" she said.
