Ornella Davis’s POV:
I asked Afria to go and sleep. It was already late now, and she has a lot of work tomorrow. Also, I did not want anybody here when I tell Carina the news about Ohvin and Charlotte's accident. I do not know how she will react.
“Bambina, you remember, when your first pet dog, Toby, slept and was not waking up, I told you that he was resting,” I start saying. She just nods her head. I took a deep breath before continuing to speak.
“Bambina, your mamma and papa are also sleeping right now, and they may not wake up at all,” I say to her softly. I know what I just told her won’t make any sense to her, but that is the only thing that I can tell her now. I have no emotional energy left in me!!
