"What do you mean he's not coming? It's my birthday, Case! My f*****g birthday!" Katie yells while she angrily paces back and forth in front of me.
I'm sitting on her bed, looking up at her with complete shock written all over my face. It's been two weeks since Logan and Katie broke up and he hasn't spoken a word to her. Personally, I don't blame him. She broke his heart and he has a right to deal with it in his own way. But she's my best friend and it's my job to support her no matter what.
"Katie, you can't really blame the guy. You broke his heart." I know the second the words leave my mouth, she's going to take them the wrong way.
She stops pacing and glares at me. "This is exactly why I didn't want to talk about leaving until it was time to leave!"
