Chapter 44
Everyone's eyes are on Logan and me as we walk into the restaurant hand in hand. My dad, Melissa, Colton, Casey and Bryant all stare at us with wide eyes. Casey is the first to break the awkward tension and thank God she doesn't ask the question I know everyone else is probably wanting to ask.
"Thank God you're here! I'm starving! Can we please order now, Coach Baxter?"
Dad nods, hesitantly turning his attention to the menu in front of him. "Uh, yeah. Let's order."
I smile at Casey and she smiles back and winks. I sit down next to her and Logan sits across from me next to Bryant. To my surprise and delight, not even one of them asks if Logan and I are back together. Everyone just carries on normal, lighthearted conversation and we eat like normal people.
