ETHENIA’S POV: LAST NIGHT… The air in this hidden stock room was stale, thick with the scent of old wood, dust, and the weight of secrets long buried. We were deep in the basement, sealed behind a false wall most would never suspect. From the outside, it looked like just another shelf of forgotten supplies. But in here, it was a vault of silence and shadows. We didn’t move. We didn’t breathe. One wrong sound and everything we’d built could come crashing down. Only a few inches of stone and cleverly disguised paneling separated us from exposure. From her. From Cassandra. “I… I told you, there’s nothing here,” Dylan’s voice filtered through the wall, tense, a little too quick. He was trying to convince her. I strained to hear her reply, but there was none. Just silence. Long. Heavy.
