Anthony stood speechless as he watched Lerisa walk away from him to her car and then zoom off. He sighed, turned, and went back to his car, not expecting Lerisa to give him the cold shoulder after she caught him and Benita kissing.
Anthony got into his car and asked himself, "What has come over Lerisa? She was not like this before. Hmm, anyway, let me go home first."
When Anthony arrived home, he met his mother in the living room as he stepped inside. She asked him, "Anthony, how about Lerisa? Did you meet with her today after church service?"
Anthony looked at his mother's face in silence, wanting to retreat to his bedroom upstairs.
"Yes, Mom. I met her after closing hours," he said.
"Okay, I’m just asking since I didn’t get to see her today. I hope you two are still getting along?"
