Clowns Gathered In One Place

1360 Words
The pack of hyenas immediately shut off the moment Archer arrived. As an Alpha, he should have paid respect to another pack Alpha, but thinking about how the pack treated his mate, he did not give a damn about anything and casually took his seat on the cushion. The former Alpha of the Greyhound pack looked visibly angry upon being disrespected but stayed quiet. After all, it's not like anyone could do anything to Alpha Archer. "So tell me, why are you all gathered here without my permission?" Archer's deep voice carried the aura of authority. Entering another pack without informing beforehand was definitely a portrayal of bad character and representation. Seeing everyone so quiet, Ramona mentally cursed everyone for being cowards. "We are here to see my sister." She stepped forward, expressing herself in her sweetest voice, hoping to attract the attention of the almighty Alpha. Archer looked at her from head to toe and felt disgusted for some reason. Inhaling a deep breath, he looked at others and saw everyone's scheming and anticipating faces. "I'm sorry, but she is in no condition to see or meet anyone." "I will inform you all to meet her once she feels better." "If that's all, then you can all go back and stop wasting my time." It was clear that they were not welcome in the Raven pack and Archer told them to go back in the most polite way. However, having skin thicker than a crocodile, no body, despite feeling offended, moved an inch. "I don't think you are in no position to tell us what to do or not to Alpha." "We are here to see our daughter, and we will see her no matter how much you refuse." Beta Peter's voice echoed in the hall and both Ramona and James looked at their father. The firmness in his voice astonished both of them, as for a second they felt their father really cared for their elder sister. But deep down they knew it was just an act of pretense. "I don't think you are all getting what I am saying. I don't want you all to meet my mate and that's final." Archer's thunderous voice roared, making everyone flinch in fear. Ramona felt goosebumps witnessing how much power and authority the voice of Archer Raven carries and her infatuation with him deepened. "I don't think you are getting what we are trying to say, Alpha Archer. We are here to see our daughter, and we will see her." Caroline Stone retorted back. "Don't forget that in order for you to successfully mate with her, you will need our blessings, her parents' blessings." Finding his footing, Beta Peter expressed himself smugly. "Also, Natalia Stone is a part of our pack, the Greyhound pack. Without Pack Alpha's permission, she can never leave the pack or else will be branded as a rogue for the rest of her life." The former Alpha Noah spoke proudly. Archer looked at everyone's smug and proud faces in utter silence. It did not take long for him to figure out what was going on their scheming heads and once he saw right through their tricks he started laughing out loud. It was true that, as per the rules, he had to take the blessings of her mate's parents and also needed the permission of the pack Alpha if his mate belonged to another pack. Although he was Archer Raven, there was no way these small things mattered to him. The Greyhound wolves looked shocked seeing Archer laughing his heart out, but that confusion only lasted for a minute and Archer stopped laughing. "In exchange for her, what do you all want?" Archer went straight to the point without beating around the bush. "Hah..", Alpha Liam scoffed, thinking finally they had the upper hand. "In exchange for Natalia to be your mate, we want you to continue supporting our pack. You will carry out the business alliance and also invest in our pack an extra ten million dollars." Archer looked at the greedy Alpha, who did not even hesitate for a second before naming the price of freedom for his mate. He had heard from his father that Alpha Noah was a cunning and greedy man, but witnessing it firsthand definitely made his skin crawl. "Is there anything else you all want?" Archer peeved deeper into their greedy souls. Thinking how low this group could go for money. "As of now, we don't need anything more. We will see it in the future." Beta Peter replied on everyone's behalf. Before Archer could say anything, he got another mind link from one of his subjects and his face visibly frowned. He stepped out of the room and walked towards the kitchen to have a glass of water. He had no idea why all the bastards were hellbent on making his morning miserable. His mate was still unconscious, and he had no idea of knowing the extent of psychological shock she got from yesterday's events. Now her family of clowns was making a scene in front of him, demanding money in exchange for her freedom. To make matters worse, that arrogant Alpha was now on his way to the pack house. His irritation level went up, and he felt like tearing everyone's limbs apart from their bodies. The sound of their agonizing pain and cries would definitely make him feel better. Pondering over this, he slowly walked back to the hall witnessing six clowns looking at his face. He knew there was no point arguing with this group of greedy wolves. There was also no way he was going to let them walk over him. If they thought they could use his mate as a leverage to extort money from him, they were indeed deep in hallucinations. "Listen to me clearly and pay attention to each and every word. After hearing all of your proposals, I have decided that I am not going to give you a single penny. Forget about blessings and all because, one way or other I will keep my mate beside me without needing anyone's help." Archer's deep voice resonated in the air, making them flabbergasted. Everything was going fine, then what happened suddenly to change everything. Before they could think of a response, an angry voice growled, making everyone look back. "What do you mean by keeping your mate beside you? Don't you dare forget Archer, Natalia is my mate also." Hair disheveled, shirt half torn and swollen face, Alpha Henry made his entrance looking like a drunkard, but the fire in his eyes ignited everyone's fur. "Henry, what are you doing here?" Confused and shocked, Liam looked at his friend and his disheveled state. "I'm here to rescind my rejection. Though there is absolutely no need for that, since Natalia never accepted my rejection. To sum up, what I am trying to say is I am also Natalia's mate and there is no way I will let another Alpha claim my mate in my presence." Though it sounded hoarse, the firmness in Henry's voice was enough to make everyone understand his desire. "Huh.. You got to be kidding me." Archer thought to himself, but before he could say anything, a mind link from the hospital made him abandon everything and run quickly. Startled by Archer's sudden disappearance, everyone else followed his suit and started running after him. Archer kept his focus on the goal and sprinted as fast as he could, leaving behind a trail of dust on his way to the hospital. After arriving, he marched inside the room and the first thing he saw was his mate sitting on the bed with a nurse by her side. Their eyes met, and he felt the whole world slowly vanishing into thin air except his mate. Their sweet reunion remained short when, one by one, others arrived on the scene and the room was filled with people. Natalia glanced at all the people and the confusion in her mind only grew bigger, thinking she had done something much worse and unforgivable for all of those people waiting for her to punish her.
