Whispering Trees

For the first time in as long as I could remember I closed my eyes and called on the Goddess. I felt a gentle breeze brush lightly over me and heard the leaves of the unusual pale pink trees whispering around me. I walked back into the forest, and I really felt as if it was truly alive around me - a sentient, comforting presennce that helped me to find my way back to the clearing where I had first met Alpha Walker. I knelt there in the moonlight, and I gazed up at the silver moon in the sky above me as I rested my hands gently against my stomach. I didn't know what to ask for, or what I wanted, but I thought that the Goddess might be able to tell me something; I didn't really have any hope of a response, but I had to try something, and I couldn't think of anything else to do.
