After the meeting that Dorian had with his pack, we quickly assembled his closest pack members. Unfortunately, we had to keep Caden out of the loop, whom I’ve learned is his Beta. Due to what was going on with him, it wasn’t safe to include him in on the plan so we would have to do this without him. He begged Dorian not to do this, but Dorian was only looking out for him. Caden ended up storming off in a heated rage, one that I haven’t seen from him yet.
Dorian nudged me and smiled. “He will be okay. Caden isn’t typically like this as you’ve seen. Having a mate that is so close yet so far is a lot on him, especially knowing that he can sense her pain.”
I looked up at him, intrigued. “Is that how you were able to tell when I was in danger? I mean, it would make sense.”
