I stood silently in front of the bathroom mirror. My head was all over the place. Today I was to become the Alpha of Whispering Pines two years early. My father could no longer lead the pack, and it was up to me to become the Alpha. Poe had been in my head trying to pump me up. My wolf was confident that I could do this. I didn’t feel ready, but I had help. Beta Jonathan and Gamma Michael were staying in their positions a little longer to help me. I also had the love of my life, my beautiful Katie, at my side. My Mom and Luna Ellen, my friend Jordan’s mother, were helping Katie learn how to be a Luna. They had helped set up the ceremony and the party after.
