I wasn't sure how long we had been walking, but it felt like an eternity. I had no idea where we were headed, but every time we heard a noise, I alerted Dante so we could hide and stand still, just in case someone heard us. My hearing was much more acute than his, and I could tell he appreciated that.
It seemed like he had been through several battles recently, as he bore scars that weren't there the last time I saw him. However, I didn’t ask what had happened, assuming it was Niko’s men who were responsible for the injuries.
I also stopped inquiring about Zion and our destination. I had no clue where we were going, and since he wasn’t answering me, there was no point in asking.
I decided to focus on listening for any potential threats as we walked quietly through the forest.
