Landon and I managed to leave the church without anyone noticing and headed to the library as we had planned. We constantly checked to make sure no one was following us. Once we arrived, we requested access to the archives downstairs.
The librarian looked at us strangely, but I stood my ground, determined to see those books. She didn’t argue with me; there was only one type of person who typically came to look at the archives. Therefore, she took us downstairs and had to unlock the door for us.
As soon as we entered, we noticed the light was very dim, but that didn’t bother us werewolves. However, we soon saw how dusty it was, indicating that no one had been down there in a long time—at least, not many people came down here.
