-Crimson P.O.V-
Burning.
That is the only way I could even describe what was coursing through my veins. It was as if someone threw me in a fire while pouring gasoline over me repeatedly. Causing the burning to get hotter and hotter as it burned its way through my veins. But my brain was the worst. It was pounding as if my brain was being rattled within my skull. I wanted to succumb to the pain, but I knew if I did then I would end up losing. I would end up dying. I couldn't do that. I had my brothers who needed me and now I had a mate that needed me. I couldn’t succumb to this so I forced myself to see the bigger picture.
I am doing this so I can be the best mate to Ambrose.
I am doing this so I can be a better sister to my brothers.
I am doing this so I can defeat the NightWalkers.
I am doing this so I can be a good Luna.
I am doing this so I can better protect myself.
I am doing this so I can better protect my brothers.
I keep repeating those reasons over and over again while ignoring everything that my body is going through.
All of sudden it feels as if a bucket of cold water was just thrown over me as it didn’t feel as though I was on fire. I moved my arms to feel something soft, but not a bed kind of soft. I soon opened my eyes to only close them again when a bright light was shining down on me.
“F**k.” I mutter as I bring a hand over my eyes before slowly sitting up.
Once I was sitting up, I removed my hand while opening my eyes. I blinked a few times to see that I am not in a bedroom. I am in some kind of forest but it wasn’t like any kind of forest to ever exist on earth. This kind of forest was bright as the colors were vibrant. It was almost as if someone painted them neon colors as they were so bright. I look down to see that I am laying on grass. But it was the world's softest grass as I ran my hands through it. I didn’t have time to look around as I wanted to know where I was. There was no way that Ambrose stuck me in the woods and there was no way that the woods would have looked like this either.
“You are right, my child.” I heard a woman's voice that sounded like peace. That sort of sound as if you are sitting by a river just listening to the water as it runs along without any care in the world, or the sound of the waves on a beach crashing as a feeling of peace shivers up your spine. That is what her voice sounded like to me. Peace.
I look over to my right to see a woman sitting down on the grass. She was absolutely stunning as she was a gorgeous dark chocolate color as her skin looked as smooth as butter. She had long black wavy hair that went down to her waist. Her eyes were a piercing silver color as she smiled at me. She was wearing white wash bell bottom jeans, a tight gold tank top that stopped just above the waistband of the jeans, and she had on a crown that was pure gold as it glistened in the sun. She was absolutely stunning that I couldn’t look away or even form any words. I wish I could perfectly describe what she looked like but it was something that you need to see in person. She noticed this and chuckled.
“I am really not all that, my child.” She says with a laugh that causes me to snap out of my daze.
“Yes you are. You are absolutely stunning. What should I call you? Since everyone says Selene but I do not think that fits you. It seems that everyone just came up with a name as you are someone who is not seen but we know you are there.” I say as I turn to face her.
She smiles. "You are correct. My name is not Selene as it is Kandake. It never really bothered me what people thought my name was as they didn't know any better.”
“See, I like that name better.” I say as the name Kandake just oozes power but something also beautiful.
“I thought that, but I brought you here for a reason, my child.” She was with a serious tone that caused me to sit up.
I nod. “I figured as you don't really seem like the type to make home visits very often.”
She chuckles. “You are exactly as I pictured. Ambrose is a good fit for you and you for him. Now I called you here because you need to understand a few things about the wolf you are about to become. You will not fit into any box as you are going to be the first of your kind. You will gain a wolf but you will not fall into the category of werewolf as you will be stronger than Ambrose or even 2 Alphas put together, you will also be faster than any vampire that roams the earth, you will also not be affected by wolfsbane, your danger sense will be heightened also along with you senses, and finally you will heal almost immediately. You will be stronger than any Lycan including the werewolf King or Queen. I have chosen these things for you as you are worthy of all of them.”
I just look at her with wide-eyes. “I knew I would become powerful when becoming a werewolf but I didn’t think it was going to be all that. And wait, what about silver?” I tell her with disbelief in my voice.
She smiles while looking upon me. “Like I said, you are more than worthy of gaining these powers. If anything you are deserving of these powers, and yes..you will be affected by sliver. That is your one weakness. Now I also came to tell you this to warn you.”
I smirked. “Of course. No other Alpha would want me alive after hearing of all of the things that I can do or even the King and Queen of the werewolves. Hell even vampires would try to take me just so they can take my blood. I get it.”
She just sighs as she shakes her head with a smile. “I should have known that you would figure that part out yourself.”
I just smile. “I kinda put two and two together as you gave me heightened danger sense and you made it to where my senses are basically going to be on dr*gs.”
“I had to give you a way to protect yourself even though you would've been fine without having those added on. You have always been careful as well as defeating anything that tries to defeat you even without having a wolf. One of the reasons I chose Ambrose for you as he will only be there to help you grow without feeling jealous. Any other Alpha and they might just want to kill you or lock you up as you would be stronger than them but not Ambrose. He is secure with who he is.”
“I have gathered that. He is already an amazing mate within the short time that I have known him. It is amazing.” I tell her with a happy sigh.
She smiles. “I must send you home now, my child.” I understand so I just nod.
“Thank you, Kandake.” I say before bowing my head slightly to show her respect.
