Santiago’s pov
I saw that woman who has occupied my mind since Christmas. She struts down the street as bold as brass. For a while, I thought she may have been innocent, unlike the others, as she had not gone in search of me or tried to win me over.
But here she is, walking down the same street my office is on, so I guess she was just waiting for her moment. She even acts like she hasn’t noticed me at all when she has no other business here. I notice that she looks pregnant, so she is playing the long game. All I see is red.
She has the cheek to act surprised and find my irritation amusing. All my accusations were met with humour or denial. This woman really knew how to boil my blood. Unlike others, she could easily get under my skin.
