Santiago’s pov
It has now been two days since Valentina was shot. The doctors say she could wake up at any moment, but it is not happening quickly enough. Like yesterday, I was sent home to freshen up, eat, and visit Benjy and the pups.
Benjy can come home tomorrow, but he will need plenty of care. Everyone is happy to help with him, which is good. Although Sophia wasn’t exactly ecstatic about Koda, yes, Giovanni named him straight away. She couldn’t say no once she saw him.
They would be going home with Benjy tomorrow, and hopefully by then Valentina will be awake, actually I hope that she will wake up today, as I think another night of her lying there lifeless will just about kill me, I just want her to be fine.
The police have been busy taking statements from everyone.
