It was a relief when Ruth got her sentencing, and I knew she would be away for a long time. The judge has also said that a no contact order would be placed on her after her release, so our family wouldn’t have to worry about her ever again.
Santiago took off the day after the Verdict was read to spend some time together, but then he had to get back to work again, as he had been absent so much it wasn’t fair on Greg even if he did have an assistant now.
Besides, we had our four day trip to New Orleans that he needed a couple of days off for and didn’t want to take advantage. New Orleans was amazing, we ate loads of different food, did the Anne Rice tour, I was excited to see the Mayfair witches house, and delve into the Voodoo culture that fascinated me.
