Santiago’s pov
I was really hoping that the defence would finish up with their witnesses today and do their closing arguments, so we would only have to go in on Monday to hear the sentencing. There are only two people left as far as we know, and they are character witnesses for her.
We know they have been paid to talk on her behalf, and I am sure Ruth will be furious when her last chance to look good is swatted down as easily as the others. Then, hopefully, by Monday, the jurors would come to a unanimous verdict.
The only thing I hate about it is that it will be hanging over our heads for the entire weekend, hoping that they all see her and her wicked schemes for what they are, and stick her in a deep dark hole somewhere so we never have to hear from her again.
