I was really quite excited when the jewellers arrived at Valentina’s house. I had no idea what I was doing before when I picked the first one, so I went for big and expensive, so you could even see the rock on her finger from the moon.
I should have known it would not be Valentina’s style in the slightest, Valentina has always gone with an understated beauty, just like her. But no matter how modest the decorations on her, her beauty still radiates out, almost blinding you.
I went straight out to the back garden, and the second I saw that man out there being watched by them all, I saw red. I could not believe that Valentina had this man doing her garden. How often was he there each week for her to ogle at, and was he watching her just as much.
