“How dare he?” Darkson growled, and I turned around only to see my mate in some other man’s arms.
A loud growl escaped my lips, and Emery quickly pulled away. The man turned and faced me, and I twitched my face in annoyance.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, wrapping my arms around my mate's waist.
“You know I can also ask you the same question, Kai… Alpha Kaiser,” he retorted.

“I don’t think you can” I said, my voice coming out coldly.

“Where’s Alpha Roland?” My mate cut in, interrupting James, and he turned to her.
“He’s too busy with the pack's work, so he sent me here instead, unlike some Alpha who doesn’t care about their pack,” James said, and I felt the word was being thrown at me as I fisted my balls tightly.
