Emery’s POV
“What are you doing here?” Kaiser asked, wrapping his hands around me.
He doesn’t seem to like James, and James doesn't like him either, but why? They do share a deep grudge against each other, and it feels so relatable to me.
“You know I can also ask you the same question, Kai… Alpha Kaiser” James corrected himself mockingly.
“I don’t think you can” Kaiser said coldly.
“And you..”
“Where’s Alpha Roland?” I asked cutting James off, and he turned to me.
“He’s too busy with the pack's work, so he sent me here instead, unlike some Alpha who doesn’t care about their pack” James said, throwing the last words at Kaiser.
I faced Kaiser with my lips in, and he was staring straight at James. His eyes turned pitch black, and I felt his wolf was fighting to take control.
