It’s been two weeks since we came to Rose Castle and made our new life here. I love the small dormitory apartment they gave Daniel and me. It’s in the servants’ quarters, which makes sense since I’ve practically become a servant. Which is not too bad when it comes with a sweet apartment.
Our new place only contains two small bedrooms, a little nook for a sofa and table, and a small kitchen for late-night snacks. We will eat most of our meals in the canteen, but it’s nice to have the possibility to make something for special occasions. It’s not Cherry’s apartment, but better than several of our previous shelters.
I’ve called Cherry, and she and Fiona have moved to Nasir’s parents’ little basement apartment. Farah will help take care of Fiona when Cherry is working. Fiona misses us terribl
