Sam’s POV: Peering down at Angel, I realize my reaction wasn’t the right one. I lost my head when I heard her talk about me and my mate, herself, disrespectfully. All in my mind was a need to stop her from talking, and I acted instinctively. Which might have been the stupidest thing I could have done. Now that I’ve cooled down, I realize I don’t have a plan for what to do. I had promised her brother Daniel to keep away from her as she healed from the attacks. I failed miserably and have instead dragged her to my office. She’s standing in the middle of my office, staring at the floor, somewhat shaking. I must calm down and stop pacing like I’ve done the last 5 minutes. I want to take her in my arms, but I use all my energy to not pounce on her like a wild animal. Her shaking like a leaf
