Jade was stunned. First Oboto and now Emerald. She looked up as Amethyst came in with a stiff scotch. “What’s going to happen next, Amethyst?” she asked sadly. “We must find the mole; two people have lost their lives already.”
“I’ll find them,” replied Amethyst grimily. “Emerald shared some ideas. I’ll piece it together.”
“Thank you; looks like it’s just the two of us now.”
“Can I suggest we use Sergei more; he’s reliable?”
“You’re right, he saved Guy.”
“Can I also suggest it’s time to tell Guy the truth?”
“Too early for that; we have to be ready for the future.” Emerald bowed her head and left Jade to mourn alone.
