I still felt a little shocked when we got into the elevator to head down for lunch. Averie was in the process of introducing her mate to everyone, and she seemed to be very happy. I honestly loved it. I knew the feeling of finding your mate, and it surely was one of the most amazing ones.
“So are you guys staying here for the weekend?” I asked my little sister. Her coming home was a bit of a surprise, and I wasn’t sure if they had other plans for the weekend. They could very well be going to Marci’s pack to see her parents or something like that.
“I didn’t bring any clothes with me,” Marci frowned, looking at Averie. “We didn’t even consider staying for more than a few hours.” She seemed a little sad about it.
