After I heard Liam say I needed serious medical attention, I glanced up at him through lowered lashes and whispered, "I need Bethany."
Instantly, his eyes glazed over, and I knew he was mind linking with somebody. A few seconds later, he softly murmured, "Don't worry, my love. Luna Carly is getting in touch with Bethany. I'm sure she will come to help you right away."
I could feel the corner of my lip twitch in an attempt to smile, but my face hurt entirely way too bad for that. Liam reached up to brush the hair out of my face, but I instantly flinched in fear, which caused a deeper frown to form on his face.
