The next time I awakened, I noticed a significant difference in the amount of pain that I was experiencing. When I opened my eyes, I was covered with a fresh, clean sheet, and the clinic lights were dimmed.
Liam was sitting on one side of me with his body slouched forward, and his head resting on the cot beside my arm. On my other side, Bethany was slouched over with her head resting beside my leg. Both of them appeared to be peacefully sleeping with each of them holding onto one of my hands.
I was thrilled to see that my favorite cousin had come to help me with her Healing Ability. I wasn't sure exactly how much she was able to heal me, but I knew my pain level had dropped drastically, so I assumed it was quite a bit.
