When I wake up the next morning Austin is not beside me as I expected. I have a horrible headache despite the fact that I did not drink too much last night. I feel exhausted. Both mentally and physically. I slowly make my way out of bed and across the hall in to Kate’s room. She is right where I left her, still in her dress and make up. Looking like a mess. When I close the door, she stirs in her sleep. Her eyes snap open. She winces from the sunlight and rubs her eyes gently. “What time is it? What happened?” she asks. I chuckle. “I don’t know what time it is. And about last night…” I begin. I follow by a pause.
