I touched my moon shaped scar where Rickon had bit me, anger began to run through my body. "You mean to bite me again?" I taunted. His eyes flickered and he looked at me with confusion. He studied my face for a few more seconds before he looked away uncomfortably.
"No." He said in a strained voice, "I suppose you wouldn't understand since it was your first time. We were both in our own fevers which is why you may not remember. That night, we mated Tegan. We had sex." His face became flushed as he said the last word.
Ice ran down my back and the blood in my face left me. The realization of his words hit me hard. He had taken my purity from me. And they called us monsters.
"You defiled me, beast." My words were full of disgust but I kept my composure. He gave me the faintest of smiles. I instantly reached out to slap him, he tried to stop me but was too slow. He looked up at me with blood on his lips, a look of surprise in his icy blue eyes. I wanted to rip his throat out, I should rip his throat out.
"I wasn't in control. I apologize for the way it happened, the full moon brings out the beasts in us all." He said as he wiped his mouth. "I have lived a few centuries love, and have waited long enough to find my chosen one. It is the only way I can produce an heir and step down from the position I have over stayed in." He sat up, towering over me looking as regal as ever. "I was a king, I was tired of it but I was good at being one. My wrath knew no bounds, because of that I was taken from the mortal world and forced into this one." His tall muscular figure pulsated with dominance, this had been a man of war.
"I tire of this as well, it is time for me to pass the crown as intended, and you are the key to that." He reached down and grabbed my arm, trying to drag me away. I stood up and held my place not budging, he looked back with an eyebrow raised. He sighed and pulled harder but I didn't move, he was only half as strong as me. I stared at him coldly hoping I was humiliating him in the process.
He dropped my arm and growled, loudly. "Come with me!? He roared, only getting a blank stare from me as an answer, he was pitiful in that moment. He had no idea how much stronger I was than him. "I am nothing to you." I stated with ice in my voice, I walked over to the window and stared out into the night. He walked behind me and wrapped his arms around me, sending a wave of disgust through me. I quickly turned around and with just one hand I pushed him back hard.
He flew backwards and hit the wall fracturing it, I smiled as I felt the full potential of my abilities finally coming out. "Silly dog, you can't have this bone." I taunted as I walked towards him bending down to look at him. His eyes were black, his canines were out, his wolf burst out and he kicked the wall pushing himself up to look down at me. He reached out for my throat and I reached for his hand, but I was taken a back as he over powered me and slammed me against the wall.
I wrapped my legs around his beastly waist and tried to squeeze as hard as I could, he let out a growl but did not buckle, he squeezed harder on my neck. Both my hands pulled at his hand but his inner beast was proving to be strong as he held on tightening his grip. I looked over to see a knife laying on the desk next to us. I reached out about to grab it using my telekinesis powers, when he suddenly dropped me to the floor.
That was it, I was killing him now.
I ran to the desk garbing the knife, moving quickly towards him, he jumped back turning into his human form. He smiled at me as he stood there bulging his muscles at me, glaring at me with challenge in his eyes. He was practically asking me to kill him, what was I suppose to do? I fixed my stance and brought the knife up to my eye level, I grinned as I accepted his challenge.
I was flawless in the art of hand combat, deadly with a knife. I effortlessly swung at him, and he effortlessly avoided my jabs. He grabbed my arm hitting my hand making me release the knife, he kicked me hard in my stomach and I dropped in pain barely blocking his next kick. He was fast I had to admit but not faster than me.
We dueled for several minutes breaking everything in the room as we slammed each other on the walls and furniture, how was this taking this long?! Finally I saw my opening and as he stumbled backwards I quickly reached out for a sword on the wall and it came to my hand, I swung the ancient blade jabbing straight forward with full force. I caught him on the shoulder and he fell, I jumped like a crow and landed on his chest with both feet, the sword raised above my head ready for the final blow.
His eyes were full of anger as he looked at me furiously knowing he was defeated. As I expertly went for the final blow I suddenly stopped a millimeter from his throat. I couldn't do it, sweat formed in my chest as I tried to lunge forward but an unknown force held me back. Bile arose in my throat and fell over in all fours gagging.
I staggered trying to catch my breathe but in the end I vomited, not able to hold it back this time. I quickly staggered my way to a corner in shock trying to figure out what had happened but also keeping my eyes on the target. Rickon sat up wincing in pain, bruises colored his face from the powerful punches I had thrown, blood ran down his mouth from the stomach blows I had inflicted, he looked a mess.
"You can't kill your mate." He sighed trying to catch his breathe waiting for his wounds to heal. As they did I made one last attempt to throw a shard of glass at him aiming at his neck but as had happened before when I stabbed him the glass diverted and flew elsewhere landing in his arm instead.
I never missed!
He roared in pain and frustration. He pulled the glass out and kicked himself up again. "If you try to kill me you will fail, if you try to leave you will become so sick you will think of nothing but coming back. There is no way out of this, we are stuck together." He growled his eyes still pitch black. This was my worst nightmare. Of the things that I thought were impossible this was at the top of my list.
I sat there trying to grapple with the reality of his words.
