Chapter 2

1005 Words
I took one last look at the small cottage that had been my hiding spot for the last year. I threw my duffle bag over my shoulder but dropped it immediately as a wave of pain hit me. I walked over to the mirror annoyed as I looked at the still raw bite wound on my neck. All my bruises had gone except for the bite mark  it was the only one left, it had hardly healed.      Dammit, I would need the serum sooner than later. I had to go back or find an alternative.     As I continued to examine the wound a flashback came into my mind, green ferocious eyes looking at me with hunger. The eyes bore into my soul as if they were reaching for something inside of me. I stepped back and shook my head, if I ever ran into him again I would skin him alive!     Staring at the mirror I saw that I looked pale, adding to my already fair skin, making me appear eerie. The first thing anyone ever noticed were my icy blue eyes that pooped out like beacons next to my very fair skin, they were only enhanced by the contrast of my wild curly black mane of hair. I was tall, thin with small hips and chest but my body was an athletic one so my muscles were defined.     I picked up my bag again with my opposite hand and made my way out. As I slammed the door behind me a black hummer pulled in blocking my way. I knew it wasn't my pursuers from last night, they wouldn't be so reckless.   A tall man with ebony skin stepped out of the car gracefully. He was bald with sharp facial features.      Wolves.     I dropped my bag and kicked it out of the way. I would enjoy tearing their limbs slowly apart. Another male stepped out, he was tall but stockier with a scruffy look. His hair was braided back, some sort of gaelic lineage no doubt. I examined both men never taking my attention away from either one. I had to stay far away from them, if they grabbed me they would be too strong for me to over take.     I reached behind my back locating a small knife, I never missed. This was too easy, it always was. "We wish to offer an invitation." The mulatto man said. I hesitated briefly in curiosity, they weren't here to fight. "Our Alpha would like to make up for his rude behavior last night when you broke into the mansion." The gaelic man said in a husky voice.     I dropped my hand away from my knife, destiny worked in funny ways indeed. They were practically handing their alpha over to me, idiots. "We know you had pursuers last night, we can offer safety while in our company." He continued. I almost laughed at his ridiculous statement, it was them who would need protection from me.     I could just kill them right here and take their vehicle, but then again I had to meet this alpha. I mean they were practically giving him to me on a platter. I would skin him alive, make a fur coat out of him as I had many times with his kind before. "Please do not fear us we mean no harm." The black man carefully walked towards the passenger seat and gestured for me to get it.     The gaelic man took my bag and tossed it in the back effortlessly. I smiled inside as I thought of all the different ways I would desecrate their bodies. With my head high I walked to the vehicle and hopped in, still keeping my eye on both of them. This was just too easy. They got back in without another word and soon we were speeding down the dirt road.     I said nothing along the way because they had nothing that would interest me. I stared straight ahead taking in my surroundings remembering every tree every landform in case I had to make a break for it. The men both glanced my way every few seconds, examining me no doubt. I must admit I was an intimidating entity, if you were as old as I was you would be too.     When we arrived the men couldn't get out of the car fast enough. I should have asked for names but I didn't care for them, they would be dead soon what did it matter. I didn't wait on them instead I began to walk to the front door. I must admit the house was impressive, several stories tall with a perfectly trimmed landscape. I didn't bother to knock I just let myself in.     I heard the men rush in taken by surprise at my brazen behavior. "The alpha will be down immediately." The black man said with curiosity in his voice. As he said this I heard foot steps coming down the long spiraling staircase.  The alpha.     He was tall, broad shoulders, sun kissed skin, braided long blonde hair with runes woven into it, bright blue eyes and a neatly groomed beared. He wore a thin white shirt that showed off his muscular chest, blue jeans that fit his tall muscular legs perfectly and black boots. He was viking, how old was he? Mutts never lived very long despite being immortals, their barbaric ways gave them a life expectancy of two hundred years.     I examined every step he took carefully, his dominant aura engulfing me once he got near me. He would be a worthy kill, but despite his power an easy kill non the less. "Welcome to my house, I am Alpha Rickon." He said in a elegant husky voice. There was something about him, I couldn't pin point it. There was a familiarity to his aura. I stood my ground as I glared at him, not saying a word only observing him.     "You are in Luan territory, the Luan pack welcomes you." He smiled, his blue eyes taking my presence in.
