The Lycan king studies me as if deciding if he should tell me whatever it is.
“She is dying sooner than we thought,” I say, my heart already sinking. With my luck lately, I am certain that is what it is.
“What? No!” he exclaims, perplexed. He is really fond of my Luna. This can’t be easy on him either.
“I wanted to tell you that I don’t sense it anymore. I don’t know what happened from the last time I saw her, but I don’t sense it anymore.”
I start pacing, my heart racing. Maybe Diana’s return is the reason she is no longer dying. Maybe her absence was the reason for her dying in the first place.
“Or maybe he is lying to make us feel better,” Clint points out. I stop pacing and confront him.
“Really? Did she ask you to lie to me?” I ask.
