Ruby and I were in my room doing homework, we only had a week left of school before Easter break and like every year I was going to away with my family for it, do it every year we go up to the lake house that my grandparents own. I always enjoyed it, though this year was different I had Ruby and I was going to miss her, had got used to seeing her every day for the last few months and I hated knowing I had to leave her at home was her father and that woman, things have still not improved that is why she spends most of her time at mine.
“Are you going to be OK at home when I am away?” I asked looking at her
