-YURI HANNA-
I wasn't sure how many drinks I had consumed, but I was certainly sober enough to realize the prince was blaming me for his error, presuming I was a man. A mocking laugh escaped my lips as I gave him a sharp stare and yanked my wrist free of his hold.
"I believe his royal highness should not be concerned about the gender of this humble bodyguard as long as she is doing her job well," I demanded at him, sounding irritated. First and foremost, I should have the right to be angry. Yes, I am more assertive than the other she-wolf, with modest bosoms and a deep intonation, but he should have been more perceptive to realize I am a darn woman.
Prince Killah placed his hands inside his jeans pockets, but his troubled expression did not leave me. "How come you didn't correct my assumption then? Do you intend to keep it from me until the end? How much longer are you going to lead me on, Yuri Hanna?"
My brow furrowed. "I have no intention of concealing it, your highness. I've always been a woman! And why are you so upset? My sexuality is irrelevant, and if it bothers you, I will appoint a new bodyguard for you, as I intend to do once we arrive at Bloody Paws."
"And you think I will allow you to do that?" The prince's eyes narrowed, and his speech became more ominous. "Perhaps I should be more clear, right?" To my absolute surprise, his arms were already around my waist in a wink, and I was pinned to a nearby willow tree.
What the hell!
As my back slammed against the scaly trunk, a gasp slipped through my throat. I attempted to push Prince Killah but was futile. He was lankier than most male wolves, but his strength was astounding as he promptly pinned me to the tree.
"What do you think you are doing, your highness?" I exclaimed fiercely, looking at him. "Are you losing your mind!"
Is he drunk or what?
What gives him the confidence to catch me off guard? Is he thinking I won't kick his ass because he has royal blood?
The Prince stared down at me, his striking countenance uncomfortably near to mine, our noses almost touching. With one false move, our lips would undoubtedly brush, causing my heart to race uncontrollably. I wanted to chastise myself for acting strangely whenever the prince was nearby, but I was more concerned about the inquisitive eyes. Thankfully, the willow's narrow, long branches kept us hidden, otherwise there would have been another misunderstanding.
"Yuri Hanna," Prince Killah muttered, his tone returning to calm and supple, grabbing my attention.
"What!"
Isn't he aware that he's acting inappropriately? I just got out of the detention cell, and it hasn't been a pleasant experience.
"You're right, hun." The Prince inhaled between our gaps, his right hand rising and brushing the side of my cheek, instantly making me blush. "It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman, however, now that it's revealed, I will not let you leave my side even if the war in the West is over."
Despite the uncomfortable predicament I was in, I scoffed and asked him, "And why is that, your highness?"
"Because you are mine."

"Because you are mine, my ass!"
I should've noticed that the wimp was too inebriated to say those remarks and then passed out in front of me. Although I was slightly perturbed, I was not given the opportunity to lament my injured ego when a gang of rogues was seen on the outskirts of Blue Moon. Immediately, I escorted the prince to his room and went after the mutts with Raffa and his pack warriors.
I had a feeling it was Dallas and his men. My head bobbed left and right since I hadn't told the Greysons about the previous alpha rogue we had defeated a month ago and who was now on the hunt for the prince.
Damn it! I should have been more cautious. The Greyson twins were almost killed in the previous battle. As a lesson, all the eastern continent's territories decided that the next generation should be preserved at all costs. With that in mind, I decided that after dealing with the scum at the border, I needed to deliver the prince to Bloody Paws to ensure that no other pack was endangered.
"There are twenty rogues in the area!" As soon as we reached the whereabouts of the mutts, Warren informed us.
Raffa let out an audible snarl. "Take them all down!"
As soon as the order was sent out, the Blue Moon pack warriors bellowed and transformed into wolves to deal with the oppressors.
"f*****g rascals!" I grunted and ran to the scene, shedding my clothing to transform when one stinking rogue sprang at me. The collision sent us both flying to one part of the forest and stumbling to the ground, but as soon as my body touched the turf, I rolled up and raised my hands in the air, ready to deliver a powerful jab.
However, another rogue appeared behind me, and I was taken off guard when it knocked me on my stomach, to the ground, and sank it's as sharp as a dagger fangs on my shoulder.
Shit!
My teeth clenched and tears gathered in the corners of my eyes when the monster shredded my flesh while roaring like a mad critter. And before it ripped another portion of my body, I mustered my might and drove the elbow to its head. As I struck its crucial spot, the rogue howled and fell on my side.
I rose and noticed two more mutts charged in to attack me amid the confusion. I caught a fleeting sight of Raffa and his men engaged in battle with the other scoundrels.
We were taken aback by the enemy's numbers, which made me understand that Dallas still wields considerable power over the other rogues. Still, we must halt them and demonstrate that they will never be able to overthrow any territory in the east.
And if it's the prince they're aiming for, I'll make sure they fail!
My jaw gripped as I heard all of my limbs snap. My senses were heightened to a new degree as an uncontrollable wrath clawed its way out of the pit of my stomach.
My wolf was taking over, but before I could fully transform into Haede, a strong wind came out of nowhere, and a shadow of a guy slowly animated in front of me until it turned vivid.
Prince Killah?
The long straight golden hair was enough for me to recognize the newcomer, but when it vanished from my sight and reappeared in a wink with the two rogues who were about to attack me, lifeless in his hands, my shifting was canceled and I stood naked in front of him with my jaw almost hitting the forest floor.
It wasn't so much how he defeated those shits in a split second that surprised me, but the fact that the prince kept his eyes closed as if he was still sleeping while performing the attack.
A large knot formed in my throat, which I swallowed down before whispering, "W-what the hell are you?"
