CHAPTER TEN

-THIRD POV- The sky was a sapphire brine fragmented with feathery white clouds. The sunbeams shone brilliantly in the eastern region, especially the Howling Valley, enhancing the mood of every shifter skulking nearby. The weather was perfect for outdoor activity ergo, a new level of combat training for the pack warriors in the designated territory was set up by Yuri after being released from her imprisonment. "Get the f**k up!" with an impassive expression on her face, she yelled at the trainees, who were on the ground clutching the areas of their bodies that had been injured in the earlier vicious activity. She was still able to identify the courageous jerks who had attacked her in the jungle and taken her to the detention facility. All through the night, Yuri had been up considering how she could punish those miscreants. They must have been aware that it was a bad move to antagonize the second in command of the strongest pack in the east. "Fall in!" Taking gradual steps in front of them, she gave a directive in a stronger, heavier voice. The trainees aligned perfectly in an instant despite their discomfort because of the dread of further suffering. However, another kick to the chest, a kick to the stomach, a hit to the face, and another jab brought them back to the filthy ground. Sympathies of the other pack members filled the tract and she chose to ignore them. "I said, fall in!" Yuri shouted once again, and with a satisfied gleam in her eyes, she turned toward the front of the alpha's manor. As soon as she noticed Raffa Greyson and his beta Ridge Robert watching the scene in front of the enormous house, a crooked, uneven smile crept upon her lips. They appeared upset but made no attempt to stop her because they were aware that Yuri was still enraged and that interfering with her would only make matters worse. "She's going to kill our warriors!" After some time, the second in command of Blue Moon grumbled. Raffa sighed as he realized the punishment was aimed at him and could only feel bad for their trainees who were suffering at the hands of the Bloody Paws beta. Nonetheless, he had faith in Yuri Hanna. Everyone in Blue Moon is aware of how responsible and dedicated she is when it comes to her profession, despite the fact that she may appear brutal at the time. She knows her limit. "She'll calm down in time." Ridge was unconvinced. "She's causing too much trouble! Should I stop her now?" "What's happening here?" an energized feminine voice chirped behind them. Shin Rivas, who was in her grey jogging attire and was sweating from a morning run, leaped in front of her mate with a sphinx smile on her lips. She wrapped her arms around Raffa's waist and turned to look at Yuri, who was continuing to execute commands. She shook her head and peeled her arms off her husband, pulling the sleeves of her top up to her elbows. "So, the beta kidnapper is here and is murdering our pack warrior first thing in the morning, huh? This fella needs some spanking." She prattled over to the Bloody Paws beta but she was abruptly stopped by a hand reaching for her shoulder. "Let me do the job, Luna," an enticing masculine tenor whispered in her ear, and before Shin could turn her head to see who it was, a golden-haired male species strode past her. Shin's eyelids fluttered and her jaw fell as she saw the lad, clothed in a white button-down shirt, black pants, and a pair of black loafers, taking graceful yet quick strides as if his feet were not touching the ground. Anyone may be hypnotized by the way his body moved and the way the hair strands bobbed in the air. The Luna tilted her head sideways and mumbled, "Interesting." ______________________ -PRINCE KILLAH- The window in the room I'd been brought into by the Omega earlier that morning allowed me to catch sight of Yuri Hanna lashing out at those poor souls. To be honest, I could not blame my watchdog, who was obviously furious at what had occurred. Being charged and held without solid proof was not something a person of higher status would take lightly. However, before he murders Raffa Greyson's men, somebody must step in. My lips curled into a chuckle as my eyes were pulled to Yuri Hanna, who was unaffected by my sluggish pace. Dark bags under his eyes suggested that his pride had been sobbing all night that he was unable to sleep. Nevertheless, it had no impact on his impressive physical looks. Yuri was dressed in a pair of baggy pants, a black t-shirt, and a pair of sneakers. For a split second, I pondered the potential path of the sweat as it cascaded down the side of his face, down his neck, and underneath his garments. Something unexpected reacted inside my pants, making my mouth dried up. "Fascinating," I muttered as my saunters turned to trots when I saw Yuri raise his hand to one of the trainees. My hot-headed bodyguard's fist was about to strike the pitiful mutt's already battered form when I snatched his arm away, but his other fist heaved up, aiming at me. My reflex booted in and I swerved my body sideways, successfully dodging his assault. Damn it. I would have suffered a fractured nose if I hadn't. While grinning, I let go of his arm, gracefully pivoted to his left, and jerked my elbow to the side of his trunk but Yuri swiftly used his hand to intercept my attack. Then he scowled at me and rasped, "Stay out of this, wimp!" My toothy grin got bigger. "Stop being so worked up, Yuri Hanna. You're giving me a boner," I whispered to his ear and blew the unruly strands of my hair out of my face so I could have a better view of him. Yuri's face flushed in an instant. He jumped away from me and uttered angrily, "f**k you!" Obviously embarrassed, he granted me a sharp glare and walked away, finally leaving the injured pack warriors alone. His response amused me as I turned to Raffa Greyson, his beta, and the luna of Blue Moon. They were all staring at me, curious about what I had said to Yuri, and I gave them a cryptic wink in response.
