As Lucas drove home, he was stressed and confused by the sudden change in behavior of his supposed best friend. He kept thinking about what would have gone wrong and why his friend's ulterior motives had suddenly emerged.
"How could I have missed this change in his behavior, and how do I even convince Dad to sign the papers?" He questioned himself as he drove home. He couldn’t find a solution to his situation by the time he got home, and since his father was not around, he quickly ran to his father’s study room.
He ransacked through his drawers and his papers, looking for his signature, until he got it on one of the documents. He made a copy of it and went with the copy to his room. He knew the only way to help his father and himself was by forging his signature.
